You will receive the error "A general failure occurred in the network hardware" when Microsoft returns the generic error code of ERROR_NETWORK_ERROR as a result of sending a net send message. There are no more details that Microsoft provides as to the cause or resolution of this error. If we understood the error we could provide more troubleshooting information within the Net Send Lite product. Unfortunately the API from Microsoft that we use does not have any more detailed information about this error. Our suggestion would be to reboot and try sending the message again.
